Olympique Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed new midfielder Adrien Rabiot will make his debut against Montpellier this weekend.

Rabiot only signed on a free transfer for Marseille after leaving Juventus in the summer and has featured as a substitute in OM’s games against Strasbourg and Angers.

During the international break, Rabiot has fully regained his fitness level to the level that De Zerbi needs, and could make his first start for the team in the away game at Montpellier on Sunday, October 20.

“He has been working very well throughout the international break and he will start on Sunday,” the Italian said.

“I’m very happy with what he’s doing. He’s humble, he works hard and he’s a very high-level player. We’re very proud to have him in our team. He’s a player with the same potential as Hojbjerg and Greenwood.”

After missing out on the victory over Olympique Lyonnais, Rabiot made his debut off the bench for the club in the 1-0 loss to RC Strasbourg Alsace before making another substitute appearance in the 1-1 draw with Angers SCO.

It had been expected that De Zerbi would rely more heavily on the midfielder after the international break once Rabiot had more time to train with the สมัคร ufabet squad as he had missed both pre-season and the start of the season due to joining the club in late September.
